Sometimes families are spread out across the country or continents and attending a memorial service just isn't possible. Videotaping the service to send to those who weren't able to come is an alternative. Although a videotape cannot completely capture the moment of being present, it can help a bereaved person feel a sense of closure over the loss while providing a connection with the ones who attended the service.
